Patch 3.1.1 · Fixes for the start of Season 13

The client patch that arrived the day before Ladder Season 13, the first ladder with the Warlock: crash, Chronicle and console fixes. It also covers the hotfixes that followed until March 10.
Ladder Season 13
- Season 13, the first ladder with the Warlock, started on February 20 at 5 p.m. PST (February 21 in Europe and Asia).
- Season 12 had ended on February 11, the same day Reign of the Warlock launched.
- Mosaic was turned off in the Season 13 ladder because of a graphics bug that could crash the game; it stayed available offline and in non-ladder.
Gameplay and crashes
- Mosaic can now be crafted online in non-ladder games; when Reign of the Warlock launched it only worked offline.
- Diablo's Lightning Breath now hits characters standing right next to him (this was already fixed with patch 3.1).
- Fixed client freezes and a crash when using the game list with mouse and keyboard.
Interface and Chronicle
- Mania no longer appears in the Chronicle as Hustle.
- The Chronicle no longer marks items you already registered as eligible.
- The Chronicle's backlight reward no longer looks distorted on the Amazon.
- Fixed the Apocalypse tooltip and an error on the title screen.
Consoles
- Fixed several crashes and lockups when docking or undocking a Nintendo Switch, including on the ladder board, in the brightness and screen space options and with the loot filter's rule editor open.
- Searching the Chronicle no longer crashes the game on Switch.
- Fixed overlapping UI on handhelds when using mouse and keyboard.
- 3.1.1 itself brought a UI bug to PlayStation, fixed on PS4 on February 25 and on PS5 on February 26.
Hotfixes (February 26 – March 10)
- February 26 (3.1.1.2): the Colossal Ancients jewel drops again online even if a player went in and out of the portal during the fight.
- March 4: you can join ladder games hosted in another region again.
- March 10 (3.1.1.4): identifying uniques dropped by weapon or armor racks no longer resets the Chronicle, online or offline.
- The same update fixed the Colossal Ancients jewel in offline games and improved stability.
