Genes

Every plant carries 6 genes. Red genes weigh 1 when crossbreeding and green genes 0.6, so one red neighbour already overrides a green gene, and it takes two greens to override a red one.

  • GGrowth Speed (Good, 0.6)Grows 25% faster per G.
  • YYield (Good, 0.6)25% more fruit per Y, and one more clone every two Y.
  • HHardiness (Good, 0.6)Copes better with cold, heat and poor ground.
  • XEmpty (Bad, 1)Does nothing: an empty slot.
  • WWater Requirement (Bad, 1)Drinks 10% more water per W.

Planters

Plants grow at full speed only in a planter. The planter works best kept around 60% full of water; fertilizer raises its ground quality to the top.

Water, light and heat

  • The sprinkler pours 15 water about every 5 s on what is under it.
  • Ceiling lights act as sun for plants up to 3 m below them, day and night.
  • Heaters and fire raise the temperature of plants within 4 m: winter and snow biomes need them.

Compost

Composter · The composter eats one item from each of its 5 slots every 5 minutes. Fertilizer per item, from the best:

The biofuel generator turns dung and spoiled food into fuel; it needs stirring.

Chickens

A coop holds 4 chickens. An egg in it hatches in 2 min; a fed, watered and happy chicken lays an egg every 4–5 min.

Bees

Put a nucleus in the beehive: the bees fill honeycomb near flowers. Take it out wearing something that covers you, or they sting.

Cows and sheep

Cow
  • Gives: 1 × Milk every 5 min
  • Grows up in 48 h
  • Pregnancy: 10 min
  • Comfortable in herds of 8, crowded from 12
  • Drops dung every 10 min
Sheep
  • Gives: 10 × Wool every 5 min
  • Grows up in 48 h
  • Pregnancy: 10 min
  • Comfortable in herds of 8, crowded from 12
  • Drops dung every 10 min

Each animal has its own genes for yield, fertility, longevity, hardiness and dung, and passes them on to its young.
